Our goal is to help students discover their horsepower - their passions, talents, and strengths - and provide the opportunities and support needed to turn those strengths into future success.
Academic Excellence
Houston High School is known for its challenging academic environment and outstanding student outcomes. Students have access to one of the most extensive courses offerings in the region, including:
- 35 Advanced Placement courses
- 36 Dual Enrollment courses with college partners
- Honors-level coursework across multiple disciplines
Houston students condidtently perform at a high level academically. In the Class of 2025:
- 9 students were named National Merit Finalists
- 190 students scored 30 or higher on the ACT
- 12 students earned a perfect ACT score
