What is a Meat Raffle?
A meat raffle is a social occasion that is designed to raise money for a charitable cause such as a student organization/club or non-profit group.
Participants must have an admission ticket for the event. Participants can purchase an individual ticket or a table ticket which grants admission to 10 people. Participants bring their own dinner and their own beverages. Tables may opt to share dishes with one another (family style).
Once the event starts and participants have been directed to their table, the meat raffle will begin. The meat raffle includes several rounds. During each round, participants can buy raffle tickets ($2-$5 per ticket) for that round. Each ticket represents one chance to win meat during that round. Participants buy new raffle tickets each round.
Meat items* that are included in a raffle round can include chicken, pork, beef, cheese, seafood, and other related items. There are typically 15-20 rounds (the number of rounds is based on pre-sale admission tickets). There are 4-5 winners per round.
