Seven Houston High School Students are Named as Finalists for Memphis Airport Art Contest

During its 16th annual Arts in the Airport contest, the Memphis-Shelby County Airport Authority named 46 finalists, seven of which were Houston High School students. Submissions contained iconic/historic images which are symbolic of the city of Memphis, including replicas representative of Memphis’ heritage, i.e. blues/jazz/bluegrass music, famous native Memphians, Beale St., downtown Main St. Trolley cars, etc.

Lucy Smith, Houston High School – Blues Bear

Sophie Crider, Houston High School – Nine-Dough-One

Addison Smith, Houston High School – Rock ‘n Rolling on the River
