Congratulations are in order for the full cast and crew of Houston High School’s Chicago: Teen Edition. They received a whopping seventeen nominations for the High School Musical Theatre Awards, and they took home six awards!
Less than a week ago, they were hosting rehearsals for their performance of "All that Jazz", and on Thursday, May 25, they stepped on stage at the Orpheum to give their all. They gave an incredible performance. Here are some of the awards they received:

Best Hair & Makeup
Best Costumes
Best Small Ensemble (Cellblock Tango)
Best Dance Execution
Last, but certainly not least, they were the winners for the 2022-2023 HSMTA Best Overall Production. GMSD is so incredibly proud of these students and Ms. Kell Christie for all of their hard work. Congratulations!
