Houston High’s STEM partners from the University of Memphis visited the HHS campus to
share information about their programs at the university. Dr. Davoodi shared information about
robotics and computer software engineering and discussed his program's current research in
robot programming through human mimicry. Dr. Brewster shared information about the
chemistry department and discussed his program’s current research on organometallic
chemistry and the use of metallic compounds in the delivery of pharmaceuticals. Students that
participated in the lecture event will be invited to tour the U of M facilities in the engineering and
science colleges on November 9th as a culminating experience.
