Students in Ms. Cristy Boggan’s Human and Social Sciences class at Houston High School had some very special guests last week—adorable baby goats! Courtesy of 901 Goats, the visit marked a joyful conclusion to the class's unit on positive mental health habits.
As the students learned, interacting with animals can help reduce stress and promote well-being. The goats offered the perfect opportunity for students to relax and recharge while reinforcing these lessons. The animals were a big hit, providing cuddles and laughs throughout the day.
Other classes, including the GMSD Transition Academy, also joined in the fun, ensuring the experience was shared by many. The day was filled with smiles as students and staff connected over their new furry friends, making for an unforgettable experience.
This heartwarming event was made possible thanks to the collaboration of 901 Goats and GMSD’s Coordinated School Health program, both of which are dedicated to promoting wellness within our schools.
