August 2023 - Join Germantown mountain biking, an opportunity for 6th-12th graders with any experience level.

August 2023- Mustang Madness marked the start of the fall sports season, featuring team announcements, spirited performances, and a strong kickoff for varsity football, volleyball, and girls' soccer, with a packed schedule of upcoming games.

August 2023- Annual GMSD staff kickoff re-solidifies bonds between GMSD staff and gets them excited for the upcoming school year.

August 2023 -- The Daily Memphian gives a feature on new HHS principal Hallie Ross and how she is returning to her family's legacy at Houston.

Schedule pickup for all Houston High Students will occur on Tuesday, August 1 anytime between 3.00 pm and 6.00 pm. If you or your student cannot pick up your schedule during that time, you can send a note authorizing another person to pick up your schedule. All schedules will also be available on the first day of school Aug 9.

REMINDER! Several Honors and AP Courses have required summer enrichment assignments. These are due on the first day of school. You can find the assignments here: https://hhs.gmsdk12.org/apps/pages/SummerEnrichment

If you have not purchased a parking pass for your student (11th or 12th grade) for the 2023-24 school year, please log into your SchoolCashOnline.com account by Monday, July 31st to purchase one. Any parking pass purchased by Monday will be available to be picked up on Tuesday, August 1 during schedule pick up in the auditorium lobby from 3:00-6:00. Parking passes purchased after Monday, July 31st will be available to be picked up on first day of school.

At this time, no parking passes will be sold to sophomores.

We are looking forward to sharing what it means to be a a Houston Mustang with the Class of 2027 this Thursday from 12-3. We will gather in the Auditorium, and students will walk their schedule while our Mustang Mentors share all the "must know" info like where to eat lunch and what to bring on the first day!
