Showcase what makes you special at the Houston High Talent Show! Acts are due Feb 26, 2024

Sophomores and Juniors! The Houston High Beta Club is now accepting new members.

January 2024- Mabry's remarkable dedication to academic excellence, evidenced by completing four Early Post-Secondary Opportunities and earning 18 college credit hours, along with her well-rounded character and positive impact on the school community, has earned her the title of BankTennessee Scholar of the Month.

January 2024- Houston High School is hosting it's first Sadie Hawkin's Dance on February 17th.

January 2024 - HHS Swim had an incredible weekend at the Shelby County Championships, and after setting multiple records and having top three finishes overall, some swimmers are headed to the State Championship.

January 2024 - GOAl, HMS, and HHS are preparing for their preview nights! These nights are designed to show families who are new to GMSD all that our amazing schools have to offer.

January 2024- Varsity Wrestling secured wins in December tournaments, including a strong 2nd place in the Spartan Invitational. They triumphed over local teams and excelled in the tough Father Ryan Invitational. Next, they take on ❌ollierville at CHS this Thursday.

Jaunary 2024- Jerica Ross, recognized as GMSD Teacher of the Year for Grades 9-12, is a dedicated math educator at Houston High School, showcasing exceptional teaching skills in AP Calculus AB and Algebra II, leading to outstanding student achievements in state tests and AP exams, while actively contributing to school activities and demonstrating a commitment to student success.

January 2024- Germantown parents are also invited to join us for GMSD Discovery Days to see firsthand why each one of our schools are a top choice for families. School day tours are available for the 2024-2025 school year.

January 2024- Applications are open for the Houston High School Honors and Leadership Academies, offering rising 9th-11th graders a chance to join specialized cohorts with rigorous academics, leadership development, and a focus on community service.
