November 2023 - Jack Boccher is only a junior at HHS, but he has had plans for his future for a long time. He walks us through what led him to wanting to attend the Naval Academy and how his involvement at HHS is preparing him.

November 2023- The Houston High School Boys' basketball team had a great time visiting GMSD elementary schools, teaching basic basketball skills and sportsmanship while entertaining the students with dunk fests and half court shots, including an impressive shot by Mr. Coleman at Farmington Elementary.

November 2023- Houston High School's boys varsity basketball team is hosting a 3v3 fundraiser event open to students in grades 6-12, with a team entry cost of $60 and a $5 entrance fee for spectators on November 11 at 2:00pm at Houston Middle School.

November 2023- As the fall sports season nears its end, Varsity Football is set to face the Collierville Dragons after a dominant win, while Cross Country had successful performances at the State competition, and Varsity Cheer is preparing for the Memphis Classic competition.

November 2022- Three educators from Houston High School, Brenda Kinney, Monica Thomas, and Chad Uhiren, were honored at the 2023 NACEP National Conference for leading the establishment of the Tennessee Alliance of Dual Enrollment Partnerships (TnADEP). They were also chosen for NACEP's National Leadership Academy, where they will work on a NACEP-supported capstone project aimed at enhancing Dual Enrollment opportunities for Tennessee's students.

The Presidential Scholarship is one of the most prestigious awards that a student can receive in the United States. This scholarship recognizes exceptional academic achievement, leadership, and community service, and is awarded to only a select few students each year. Five Houston High students recently earned candidacy for the Presidential Scholarship.

October 2023 - The cross country teams for Dogwood, Farmington, Houston Middle, and Houston High have all had amazon seasons. HHS is competing at state, and the results from elementary and middle school are already in!

October 2023 - Houston High School varsity pom and varsity cheer both had successful first competitions. In highly competitive categories, these girls were able to showcase their talents.

October 2023 -- Six high school athletes and six middle school athletes have been nominated for October's Athlete of the Month. Read about each student athlete and cast your vote!
