Germantown, Tennessee--March 22, 2022-- During their time in Ireland, the choir performed at St.Mary's Cathedral in Limerick and Christ Church Cathedral in Dublin.

Germantown, TN--March 8, 2022--Houston High School English teacher Mrs. Valerie McKinney opened her very own "Bookworm Museum" showcasing the different books that her AP Literature students have been reading for the past couple weeks.

Germantown, Tennessee–March 9,2022– Houston High’s Carter Yeargen recently was a runner-up in PlaySlam!, a 10-Minute Play competition for local middle and high school playwrights.

Members of Stop Poverty with Policy, an organization founded by HHS students, received the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Commemorative Award in January.

The City of Germantown February Youth Excellence Award was presented to Emma Johnson, a senior at Houston High School.

Thank you to numerous guest speakers who presented at Houston High School this week.

HHS students who are interested in government, politics, or how policies are made should make plans to join the Germantown Municipal PTO as they travel to our state Capitol on March 23rd. The HHS PTSO has graciously agreed to fund a portion of the trip, lowering our student cost to $20. Forms and payment of $20 are due by Friday, March 11th! Space is limited!

Course Verifications are now open in Skyward for the 2022-2023 school year. Please follow the step sheet that is attached to view the courses that have been selected. Any changes can be made on the google form link that is attached. If there are no changes, then you do not need to do anything.

Course Verifications will close on Wednesday, March 9 at 11:59 pm. Please log in to check your course selection before it closes!

The Houston High Prom will be held on April 2, 2022 at the Esplanade
from 8pm--11:30pm.

Tickets are $40/single, $75/couple PLUS GoFan service fees

Tickets will be on sale Thursday, March 24 until Wednesday, March 30.
See Mrs. Purcell in the lobby 4th period during those dates to receive a special code in order to purchase via GoFan.

**if your date does not attend HHS, you must submit a Prom Guest Form when you get your special code from Mrs. Purcell
