Germantown, Tennessee--December 3, 2021--Each year, the visual artists at Houston High School sell small canvas paintings and holiday cards.

Germantown, Tennessee--November 22nd, 2021--Over the course of multiple transitioning environments between virtual and in-person learning, we sometimes forget to enjoy our past-time hobbies and activities that truly make us happy. This year, the GMC PTO and student communications intern Priyanka Phaniraj will be hosting their two contests (art and writing) revolving around one theme: “My Happy Place.”

Houston High School teachers offer tutoring before and after school on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
Students attending tutoring before school need to get a hall pass/note from the teacher beforehand to be admitted to the classroom area prior to 7:30 a.m. They can email the teacher prior to the session to receive a pass.

Germantown, Tennessee--September 15, 2021--The skills taught in Houston's health science class were tested and applied when an elderly neighbor of a Houston High School student began choking on her dinner. Junior Lindsey Manguso jumped into action, performing the Heimlich maneuver, consequently saving her neighbor’s life.

Germantown, Tennessee--September 13, 2021--Laila Sharif, a senior at Houston High School, has been selected by the Houston High School administration to serve a one-year school term as student representative to the Germantown Board of Education, beginning September 22, 2021.
